Rex Wilson, 48, of Bazetta Road, Cortland, remains in St. Elizabeth Health Center after a Monday-night crash involving a sport utility vehicle and two motorcycles.

Wilson was riding a motorcycle on Elm Road with a Warren couple beside him on another motorcycle when the SUV pulled out from a stop sign at Sheridan Avenue Northeast at 11:22 p.m. and collided with the motorcycles, according to a Warren police traffic report.

The couple on the other motorcycle, Kevin A. Thompson, 32, and Crystal Thompson, 37, both of Logan Avenue Southeast, were treated at ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital that night.

None of the motorcyclists wore a helmet.

The report says Brandi St. Clair, 20, of Jeanette Drive Southeast, the SUV driver, told police she didn’t see either motorcycle passing in front of her on Elm Road. She didn’t realize there were two motorcycles until she got out of the SUV after the accident, she said.

St. Clair, who was not injured, has not been cited, but a police report said she was in error for not yielding the right of way.
