As it has for the last 15 years, Shepherd of the Valley Boardman Campus hosted its annual Easter egg hunt April 12.

Approximately 50 children participated in the event, which consisted of students from area schools and family members of staff and residents.

“We had two different areas for children of different ages,” said Associate Director Robyn Musgrove. “We had one section designated for children 4-years of age and under and one area for 5-8 year-olds.”

In addition to an appearance by the Easter Bunny, there were homemade refreshments provided by the kitchen staff at Shepherd of the Valley Boardman Campus. There were 2,500 eggs that were hunted by the children, with 10 grand prize baskets for those individuals who found specific eggs.”

Musgrove said she felt the event was a big success.

“Shepherd of the Valley Boardman is so happy to host events and receive support from the people in Boardman,” she said. “The residents and staff are so proud of our community and welcome the opportunity to invite folks to Shepherd. The residents were out and about enjoying the beautiful weather and the spirit of the children partaking in Saturday’s events.”
