Local pond and lake owners can purchase fingerling size fish for stocking your pond. You can buy 100 fathead minnows for $7, 8-12 inch white amur for $15 each, 2-4 inch bluegill, 4-5 inch channel cat and 2-4 inch yellow perch are 80 cents each, 2-3 inch bass, 2-4 inch shell crackers and 2-3 inch yellow perch are 85 cents each.
Deadline for ordering is April 18 and pick up will be April 24 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Canfield Fairgrounds Coliseum 8 in the junior fair.
Out of state residents restrictions apply. Refer to the notice posted on the website or call the office. You will need to bring a lined container filled with your own pond water on the day of pick up. Five to ten gallons of water per 100 fish is required. The white amur must be placed in a container with a lid or liner large enough to be tied at the top. Only two white amur will be permitted to each five gallons of water.
Other conservation materials available for sale include pond safety kits, birdseed, birdhouses and birdfeeders.
