Residents duck bullets fired at North Side house

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

YOUNGSTOWN — Three residents of a North Side home had to duck for cover after at least three shots were fired from outside their house late Monday night.

Police found three .32-caliber shell casings in front of a house on the 300 block of West Scott Street, but there was no damage done to the house, according to a police report.

The three told police that they were inside when shots were fired about 10:20 p.m. None of them saw the shooter, and no one was injured, according to the police report.

One of the residents said he had thrown his girlfriend out of the house earlier that day after an altercation and that she or her friends may be responsible for the incident, according to the report. But, the report states, he was hesitant to provide further information except the name of a possible shooter.
