The Youngstown YWCA is taking entries for its annual art show, Women Artists: A Celebration.

The show, which is free and open to the public, will be available for viewing June 21 through July 18 at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave.

Female artists 18 and older are eligible to enter original artwork, including paintings, drawings, graphics, photography, sculptures, fiber works, ceramics, metal works and computer-generated pieces.

The show accepts CD entries only. There is a maximum of five entries per artist and a nonrefundable fee of $10 per entry or $45 for five entries.

The deadline to enter is March 31.

Edie Davidson, art department leader and art teacher at Boardman High School and art department adjunct at Youngstown State University, will be the show’s juror.

About $1,000 in merit prizes will be awarded, including an award to a local artist residing within 40 miles of the YWCA of Youngstown and a YWCA Award for an entry that reflects the mission of the YWCA, which is “eliminating racism and empowering women.”

Cheryl Deibel and Kathryn Infante are the co-chairwomen for the 32nd annual event. The corporate sponsor is Home Savings Charitable Foundation.

For information on entering, call the YWCA at 330-746-6361. The entry form also can be downloaded from the Y’s website, www.ywca.org/youngstown.
