Wednesday, March 19, 2014

Liberty—Two 14-year-olds were still missing today after running away together Tuesday.

Police in Liberty and Girard are looking for Taylor Davies and Nate Sop.

Taylor is an eighth-grader at W.S. Guy Middle School in Liberty. Nate is home-schooled.

Taylor did not go home from school Tuesday, and Nate was last seen on a security camera leaving his residence around 2:40 p.m. carrying a duffle bag, according to a Liberty police report.

Taylor’s mother, Tonya Davies, and her fiance, John Buck, searched for the pair, who are boyfriend and girlfriend, and spotted them in Churchill Park around 4 p.m. Tuesday, Davies said today. They called to the pair, who fled into the woods. The duffel bag, containing food, clothes and a blanket, were recovered.

Several possible sightings of the teens were reported in Girard. A report of a couple at 9 p.m. Tuesday at a Subway in Weathersfield near Interstate 80 turned out not to be them, Davies said. Taylor is approximately 5’1”, with reddish brown hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a grey and black jacket with a hood.

Nate is 5’10”, 140 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt and green, plaid pajama pants.

Anyone with information should call Liberty Police at 330-759-1315, or Girard Police at 330-545-0211.
