BOARDMAN
Cheri Jones of Boardman and Tommy Metzinger of Austintown exchanged vows Jan. 11 at St. Charles Church. The Revs. Philip Rogers and James Korda officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.
Carl and Kathy Jones of Boardman are the parents of the bride, and Tom and Vinetta Metzinger of Austintown are the parents of the groom.
After a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple reside in Canfield.
The bride wore a ball gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and ruched tulle with asymmetrical draping. It was embellished with beaded appliqu and completed with a chapel train.
Samantha Bovo, the bride’s cousin, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Nicole Bovo, the bride’s cousin; Rose Shaffer; Rebecca Whittenberger; and Andrea Firth.
Anna Morgione, the groom’s cousin, was flower girl.
The attendants wore eggplant-colored dresses.
The groom’s brother, Michael Metzinger, was best man.
Groomsmen were Christopher and Matthew Metzinger, the groom’s brothers; Ronnie Bovo, the bride’s cousin; and Dave Schertzer.
William Morgione, the groom’s cousin, was ring bearer.
Ushers were Justin and Jared Vinkler, cousins of the bride.
Mrs. Metzinger graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in telecommunications. She is employed as a customer support manager for Via680 in Youngstown.
The groom graduated from YSU with a degree in accounting and finance. He works as a corporate finance lead for Via680 and as an Austintown firefighter.
