Woman found dead in Warren was from Cortland

WARREN — Police have identified the body of a woman found just before 9 p.m. Friday at Pershing Avenue SW and Choctaw Avenue SW.

Reports say the woman was 23-year-old Sierra Roberts of North Greenville Road in Cortland.

Reports said a neighbor and her daughter found Roberts and called police. Reports said Roberts had no clothes on when she was found and a pair of men’s underwear and socks were found about 50 to 75 feet away from the body. They were taken as evidence.

The Trumbull County Coroner’s office has done the autopsy.

Vindicator news partner 21 WFMJ News said that Roberts is the daughter of Warren police Capt. Tim Roberts, who heads up the department’s Emergency Services Division.
