YSU guard Perry headed to Orlando Magic

Former Youngstown State guard Kendrick Perry will play for the Orlando Magic in the NBA summer league.

Perry, who was not selected in Thursday's NBA draft, grew up about 15 minutes away from Orlando in Ocoee, Fla. He worked out twice for the Magic in the weeks leading up to the draft.

On Friday morning, Perry tweeted this: "Glad to say I'll be playing with the Orlando Magic in the summer league. Thankful for the opportunity...but it's just the beginning #LockIn"

Perry was a four-year starter for the Penguins and a three time first-team all-conference selection.
