Boardman police investigate stolen credit cards

BOARDMAN

A stolen wallet was recovered by Township police and returned to its owner Tuesday, at which time it was discovered that multiple credit cards were missing and had been used to make unauthorized purchases.

According to a police report, the owner of the wallet believes the wallet was stolen from his car in the parking lot of St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.

The thief took a Chase credit card, a Capital One debit card and a Macy's store card.

The wallet was found on McClurg Rd. last week with only an ID inside.

The stolen cards were used to make various purchases at the food court of Southern Park Mall, 7401 Market St. on Tuesday, including four separate purchases at Auntie Anne's Pretzels.

Township police have not announced any suspects in the crime.
