Vince M. Brancaccio, vice president of programming at Meridian Community Care, has been named the new chief executive officer of Help Hotline Crisis Center.

The Help Hotline board of directors announced the hiring Monday, but said the action is pending final contract approval.

Brancaccio holds a master of science and social administration degree from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor of arts degree in community health from Youngstown State University.

He has lived and worked in the community for the past 25 years.

Brancaccio replaces Duane Piccirilli, who recently left the agency after 23 years to lead the Mahoning County Mental Health Board.

A Warren man was cited on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs about 6:45 p.m. Monday after police found several pills on him.

Officers pulled over a car driven by Lawrence Mintas, 33, of Allyson Drive in Warren, at West Evergreen and Glenwood avenues for failing to make a proper turn and Mintas appeared very nervous, reports said.

Reports said he told officers he had three packs of suboxone in the car.

Suboxone is used for maintenance treatment of opioid dependence.

A police dog detected the suboxone and four pills.

There were three packages of suboxone, and two of them were partially consumed, reports said.

Mintas was given a citation and released.
