Man pleads not guilty to bigamy, falsification
WARREN
Michael Wilms, 35, of Gladys Street in Hubbard, pleaded not guilty Monday morning in Warren Municipal Court to bigamy and falsification, both misdemeanors.
A judge set a $10,000 personal recognizance bond for him, meaning he didn’t have to pay anything. He returns to court for a pretrial hearing at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 11.
The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges last week after Wilms admitted that he falsified a document at the Trumbull County Probate Court in May that asked whether he had ever been married before.
He and his fiancee, Allison Tucci, 28, also of the Gladys Sreet address, applied for a marriage license, but Wilms still is married to Amber Wilms, according to a police report filed by the sheriff’s office.
