Campbell police investigate attempted burglary

CAMPBELL

City police are investigating a report of an attempted burglary in the 10 block of Jackson Street that occurred early Sunday.

The 42-year-old homeowner told police that a black man wearing a gray hoodie had been near the side of his apartment and attempted to enter it by breaking the side window. He scared off the would-be burglar, however.

A nearby officer then saw two men on Murray Avenue, including one matching both the physical and clothing descriptions of the burglary suspect. Both were found to be juveniles, and the officer was unable to confirm either as the suspect, though they were cited for violating curfew.

The investigation is ongoing.
