Police arrest one man, cite another on South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Police cited one man and arrested a second man after they investigated a call about someone riding a motorcycle with excessive speed on Powers Way about 11:45 p.m. Thursday.

Officers spotted the motorcycle, which reports say was driven by 22-year-old Kenneth Patterson of Youngstown, and it pulled into the drive of a nearby South Side home. It was discovered Patterson had four open suspensions on his license as well as having no valid license to operate a motorcycle. He was cited for those traffic violations and given a court date.

Reports said there were several men and a woman in the yard of the home, and they were drunk. A records check showed one of them, Gary Conrad, 36, of Youngstown, had a warrant for driving under suspension and another traffic charge. He was arrested and taken to Mahoning County jail.
