Brian P. Benyo appointed to governor's workforce board


YOUNGSTOWN — Brian P. Benyo, president of the Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition, is now a member of Gov. John R. Kasich’s Executive Workforce Board. His term began in May.

Benyo is a founding member of the MVMC, an alliance formed to convene, educate, charge and mobilize the region’s key stakeholders “to initiate actions that will stabilize the economy and provide opportunities for individuals and families in the Mahoning Valley,” according to a MVMC press release.

Benyo serves as president of Brilex Industries — a worldwide source for fabricating, machining, complete machine assembly and design upgrades.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on production and operations management from Ohio State University. He serves as a school board member of the Western Reserve Local School district and is a trustee of Berlin Center United Methodist Church.
