Austintown Fitch and Greenwood Chevrolet recently presented seniors with the 17th Annual Greenwood Proficiency O.G.T. (Ohio Graduation Test) Award.

Each year Greg Greenwood, Greenwood Chevrolet, presents Christopher M. Berni, Head Principle of Fitch High School, with a check for $1500. This check is used to purchase gifts to raffle for seniors who passed the Proficiency Test. More than 100 gifts are purchased, including Cleveland Indian’s tickets, gift cards to local restaurants, tickets to local cinemas and more. Student’s names are randomly drawn for gifts.

This year’s check was presented to Mr. Berni on June 5 at 1:15 a.m. in front of Fitch High School. Names of winning students were drawn at the Honor’s Assembly.

This annual gift encourages students to take their studies to a higher level. Austintown Fitch is proud of its 99.9 percent passing ratio.
