BREAKING NEWS | Toney receives max sentence for Repchic murder

YOUNGSTOWN — Aubrey Toney received maximum sentences today from Judge Maureen Sweeney for the Sept. 25, 2010, murder of Thomas Repchic, 74, as he was riding in a car with his wife Jacqueline, 74, at the time.

Toney was convicted in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court earlier this month of murder and felonious assault and two firearm specifications. He was sentenced to 29 years to life in prison.

Police say he shot at the Repchic's car in a case of mistaken identity because the car resembled a car a rival of Toney's was known to drive from time to time.
