Boardman police seek suspects in thefts from Lens Crafter store

BOARDMAN — Township police are looking for two men who they said stole thousands of dollars worth of glasses from a Lens Crafters business the past few days.

According to a police report, 31 frames were stolen from the 265 Boardman-Canfield Road location totaling $7,000.

A store official said frames went missing from 12:30 p.m. June 12 to 5 p.m. Monday. The incidents were reported to police Wednesday, and surveillance video from the store showed two male suspects stealing the frames.

The suspect who was in the store June 12 stole one pair of metal frames when one employee was occupied with multiple customers.

The male on Monday was in the store for 50 minutes and looked at frames in the front of the store, concealing several of them in his shirt and pockets.
