WARREN
A man in his 20s was fatally shot in the 200 block of Forest Street Northeast about 8:30 tonight, and city police have a person of interest in custody being questioned by detectives, a police lieutenant said.
Detectives also were taking statements from witnesses and gathering evidence at the crime scene, which is the residence of the person of interest, said Lt. Martin Gargas.
The victim was taken to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital. The motive is unknown, but the shooting is not gang-related, Gargas said.
