Mr., Mrs. Kerr observe 65 years of marriage

Peter and Martha Kerr of Poland celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary June 4 with a family dinner hosted by Cathy and Bob Protain of Hubbard, their daughter and son-in-law.

Other children are Candi Molina and Martha (Dave) Hughes of Boardman; Peter (Debbie) Kerr of Lexington, Ohio; and Patty Kerr of Poland.

The Kerrs have eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Kerr retired after working 10 years as a nursery school teacher at Boardman Christian Church, Boardman. She is a member of Ladies Oriental Shrine.

She and her husband are members of Disciples of Christ/Christ Church.

Mr. Kerr retired in 1990 from ServiClean Ind., where he was a driver/salesman. He is a Mason, past president of Trumbull County Shrine Club, director of the clown unit with Shriners and Al Koran marshal of units Ameriti.

He is a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, when he served aboard the USS Tappahannock in the South Pacific. He earned two Bronze Stars during his service.

Mr. Kerr and the former Martha Neill were married June 4, 1949, in Youngstown.
