YOUNGSTOWN — A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Angela Merici Parish, formerly Sacred Heart of Jesus, for former Mayor George Vukovich, 87, who died unexpectedly with his wife at his side.
Vukovich, who was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Youngstown, served as mayor from 1980 to 1984. He was also a Youngstown 7th Ward councilman and served as the city's clerk of courts.
