Commissioners OK repairs at Mahoning County facilities

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning County commissioners voted this morning to advertise for bids for courthouse elevator repairs; for masonry, concrete and shower repairs and sliding gate replacement at the county jail and for parapet repair at the county administration building.

They also approved a road improvement, maintenance and repair agreement with Ohio Edison Co. and the Berlin Township trustees, under which the company agrees to repair any road damage its trucks might cause during a power line installation in Berlin Township.

They also appointed Laura Lyden, Rocco DiGennaro and Austintown Police Chief Robert Gavalier to four-year terms on the county mental health board.
