Monday, July 28, 2014

BOARDMAN — A total of $2,275 in merchandise was stolen from Home Depot, 7001 Southern Boulevard, on two separate occasions on July 19 and July 24, according to a police report.

An employee of the store reported that on Thursday, a man tried to take a Bosch self-leveler out of the store. The employee recognized the man from another theft that occurred July 19. He followed the man outside and prevented him from taking the leveler.

July 19, the same man and a female suspect filled a shopping cart with $1,400 worth of items and took it out of the store without paying for anything, according to the employee.

The stolen items included wire valued at $632, a table saw valued at $398, a band saw valued at $299, a saw valued at $149, a hammer drill valued at $99 and a reciprocal saw valued at $199. The leveler was valued at $500.

No arrests have been made for the theft and robbery charges.
