Austintown police seek Niles man who made threats at his workplace

AUSTINTOWN — Authorities are still seeking a Niles man after he allegedly made threats at his workplace.

Michael J. Rickard, 21 of Niles, faces two misdemeanor charges, aggravated menacing and inducing panic in Mahoning County Area Court in the township.

According to a report, Rickard allegedly had an altercation with an employee Thursday night at Pure Foods, 340 Victoria Road. He then called his manager after leaving and allegedly told her he was going to “shoot everyone in the building.”

The business was shut down Thursday night and the charges were filed Friday.
