Real Living Volpini Realty Group recently announced that Janine Furrie joined the company as a new associate. She has been an expanded functions dental assistant and certified dental assistant for 13 years.
She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the Warren Area Board of Realtors. She received her training at Hondros College. Janine and her husband, Ty, live in Howland with their three children.
BANKING
The Board of Huntington Bancshares Inc. unanimously elected as a member retired KPMG LLC partner and Detroit civic leader Eddie R. Munson, CPA. Munson brings more than 32 years of auditing and senior management experience from his career at KPMG and further audit and governance experience from a diverse variety of public company and nonprofit leadership positions.
SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
The United Auto Workers Local 1112 recently awarded eight children of UAW members with $1,000 each in scholarship funds. In addition, two scholarships were provided to two other students by the UAW Local 1112 Retirees Chapter. The scholarship recipients will be honored at a special luncheon Aug. 5.
The recipients are: Tyler Monti, University of Akron; Matthew Kitakis University of Akron; Toni Thomas, Kent State University; Matthew York, Kent State University; Lindsay Soltis, Youngstown State University; Samuel Claybourne II, YSU; Jacob Hamilton, Ohio State University; Courtney Budnik, Ohio University; Jessica Mittal, YSU; and Alexis McMahon, Cleveland State University.
