Three more indicted in Warren murder, wounding

WARREN

Three more men, all of Warren, were arrested Thursday on secret indictments in the killing of James R. Levels and the wounding of Lisa Prater in a South Street Southeast home in April.

Police arrested Beau A. Palmer, 30, of Clermont Avenue Northeast; James Stein, 29, of Atlantic Street Northeast; and Tyler Meardith, 23, of Clearwater Street Northwest. Palmer and Stein are charged with complicity to murder, complicity to aggravated robbery, and complicity to felonious assault. Palmer also faces a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Specific charges for Meardith were not available, but they relate to the South Street case, Warren Police Chief Eric Merkel said.

Michael Settle, 26, of Sherman Avenue in Niles, was arraigned last week and is being held in the Trumbull County jail in lieu of $1.5 million bond after being indicted on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, felonious assault, tampering with evidence and being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the shootings.
