Jewelry, Visa card stolen from Boardman home

A resident of the 60 block of Leighton Avenue reported Thursday that a total of $16,800 worth of property was stolen from his house.
The victim of the theft "discovered multiple valuables, and cash missing from a black box he had hidden in his basement", according to a police report.
The victim noticed the items were missing three weeks ago, after his girlfriend stayed at his house while he was away on a business trip.
The missing items included: a Walmart money card Visa, a yellow gold 14k ring valued at $900, a white gold ring with a diamond valued at $4,500, a yellow gold 10k ruby ring valued at $1,500, a 14k yellow gold ring valued at $1,000, a 14k yellow gold wedding ring valued at $1,200, another ring valued at $1,800, a Rolex watch valued at $2,000, a gold necklace valued at $1,600 and $2,300 in cash.
He plans to pursue charges for the theft.
