Youngstown police arrest 3 after vice raids


YOUNGSTOWN

Police arrested three people and seized two guns in two different Vice Squad raids investigating drug activity.

At a 542 W. Ravenwood Ave. home where officers served a search warrant about 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, police found a muzzle-loading rifle and in a safe underneath a bed there was a bag of heroin, a bag of cocaine, two bags of a substance used to “cut,” or mix with the drugs, two scales and a crack pipe.

Arrested on charges of possession of drugs/heroin, possession of drugs/cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia was Donyelle A. Green, 35, who was across the street when police arrived and told them it was her home.

Also arrested was Tyrone Green, 66, on a failure to appear warrant from municipal court. Reports did not say if he was related to Donyelle Green.

At a 354 Kenmore Ave. home, where a warrant was served at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, police found a loaded .38-caliber revolver. Arrested on a warrant for failure to appear there as well was 55-year-old Artis L. Walter Jr.

All three were taken to the Mahoning County jail.
