SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Youngstown ARS Composite Civil Air Patrol Squadron recently received the unit citation award for the third time in its history. It was cited for outstanding performance in the missions of the CAP, which are aerospace education, cadet programs and emergency services. Ohio Wing Commander Theodore Shaffer, right, presented the award to the squadron and tied the new streamer to the squadron guidon, while the squadron’s cadet first sergeant Cadet Chief Master Sgt. Ethan Lint held the guidon. More than 150 current and former members are eligible to wear the award on their uniforms. The patrol meets Monday evenings at Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna.
