Boardman closes West Parkside Drive indefinitely

West Parkside Drive is closed until further notice, according to the Boardman Road Department.

Following an engineer’s survey that found that culvert pipes under the street were in danger of collapsing, township officials decided to close the road until it can be repaired.

Larry Wilson, road superintendent, said traffic can move through Sabrina and East Parkside drives while West Parkside is closed.

Wilson said the department has applied for emergency funding from the state to repair or replace the culverts.

“At this particular time, we have no idea how long it’s going to be [before the road reopens],” Wilson said. “We ask for residents’ patience and understanding until such time as we can get it back up.”
