Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course has posted an additional 100 job openings as the racino prepares for its opening early this fall.
The racino is expected to employ about 400 people when it opens. Of those employees, 90 percent will have been hired locally and 65 percent of the positions will be full time.
The new positions are for food and beverage, facilities and environmental service workers; database-marketing employees; video-lottery terminal attendants and technicians; and employees in security and the count room. This is the last large group of positions that will be posted before the racino opens, according to a release from Hollywood Gaming.
Company representatives have stated about 60 percent of supervisors and 35 percent of hourly employees have been hired. The company had two job fairs in June where about 2,800 people applied.
