WARREN

Road paving and installation of stormwater catch basins and pipe is expected to begin in about a month along North River Road in Howland Township between state Route 46 and North Road.

On Wednesday, the Trumbull County commissioners approved the award of a contract of $560,000 to Shelly and Sands Inc. of Akron to handle the project.

Catch basins and pipe will be installed on the south side of North River Road starting at Route 46 and proceeding west, said Gary Shaffer with the Trumbull County Engineer’s Office, which is overseeing the project.

Traffic will be maintained in both directions during the construction, but there will be traffic delays, Shaffer said.
