YOUNGSTOWN

Reports said a woman burst into a home in the 200 block of Potomac Avenue and hit a child there in the arm with a tire iron before leaving and then returning and inflicting more damage.

Officers were called to the home about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, where a 36-year-old woman who lives there said the other woman was upset at her over a man and she came over when the homeowner was not there.

However, the homeowner’s two nephews were in the home and they heard glass breaking and then the woman came through an unlocked side door carrying a tire iron and she hit one of the nephews in the arm with the tire iron when she was told the homeowner was not there.

Reports did not say how old the nephews are.

The woman left and the homeowner arrived home, however the woman then came back with a baseball bat and broke the windshield on the homeowner’s car, put dents in the car and hit the homeowner in the back and arm with the bat, reports said.

The woman left returned a third time, reports said, before leaving again.

The homeowner had bruises and asked for an ambulance but refused to go to the hospital, reports said.
