U.S. News & World Report’s honor roll of the top hospitals in the nation. The Mayo Clinic ranks No. 1 for the first time, and the Cleveland Clinic is No. 4, including No. 1 in the specialty of cardiology and heart surgery. Hospitals with very high ratings in six of 16 medical specialties made the honor roll. The top 10 plus UPMC are listed.

The 2014-15 Honor Roll:

1. Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.; 29 points, 15 specialties.

2. Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston; 28 points, 15 specialties.

3. Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md.; 26 points, 15 specialities.

4. Cleveland Clinic; 26 points, 14 specialties.

5. UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles; 23 points, 15 specialties.

6. New York-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell, N.Y; 22 points, 12 specialties.

7. Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian, Philadelphia; 19 points, 11 specialties.

8. UCSF Medical Center, San Francisco; 17 points, 10 specialties.

9. Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston; 15 points, 10 specialties.

10. Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago; 13 points, 10 specialties.

12 Tie: UPMC - University of Pittsburgh Medical Center; Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles; 11 points, 8 specialties.
