Campbell police charge man with possession of drug paraphernalia

CAMPBELL

A 49-year-old Poland man now faces several charges — including possession of drug paraphernalia — after being stopped by city police for failing to stop at a stop sign and properly signal his turn.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, police pulled over Charles W. Rhoads III, of East Western Reserve Road, on Madison Avenue.

Police discovered that Rhoads had a suspended driver’s license and placed him under arrest.

While searching Rhoads’ van, they found a chrome-colored pipe with burnt edges and two oval white pills, identified as Gabapentin, which is typically used to treat epilepsy and relieve neuropathic pain.

Rhoads was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia, for not having a required prescription label, and for driving while under suspension. He was also cited for the two traffic offenses.
