Two armed men force their way into home

Staff Report

youngstown

A woman was pistol whipped and $250 cash was taken after witnesses said two armed men broke into a Humbolt Avenue home early Thursday morning.

Officers were called to the home about 2:10 a.m., where two men and a woman told police that two armed men broke into the home wearing masks over their face and carrying backpacks.

The woman said she was in bed asleep when the intruders chased one of the men into her room and held a gun to his head and demanded money. The man gave the intruder his wallet which had $250 in cash, reports said.

The woman yelled for the intruders to stop and they pistol whipped her, opening a gash on her face, reports said. She was treated by paramedics.

Reports said there were two other women who were inside the home when the intruders came but one jumped out a bathroom window and another left before police came and neither one of them could be interviewed, reports said.

Another man inside the home said he was on the couch when someone kicked in a back door and reports noted that officers did find that door kicked in.

Reports also noted that the home has been the source of several complaints about high traffic and drug activity.
