Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. Higgins and Trombitas both began playing their instruments when they joined the band in the fifth grade.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. Higgins: My best memory is the New Orleans trip, when we played at half-time for the BCS Championship game. I also enjoyed going to Cedar Point with the band in the summer.

Trombitas: My best memory is my first Massillon Band Night in my freshman year. I had so much fun. I also enjoyed going to Cedar Point with the band in the summer.

Q. Why is music important to you?

A. Higgins: Music is fun to listen to and play. In the seventh grade we played “Seussical the Musical,” which I really enjoyed. In band I also enjoyed being with my friends.

Trombitas: Friendships are grown through music. Even though it is not always my favorite activity, the friendships in band were so awesome. I enjoyed it when we played “I Don’t Wanna Stop” and “Georgia On My Mind.”

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. Higgins: I plan to attend Ohio State University; however, I am undecided on my major at this time.

Trombitas: I plan to attend Ohio State University and major in Psychology.
