Pavlik pleads to disorderly conduct in cab fare case

CANFIELD

Former middleweight boxing champion Kelly Pavlik signed a plea agreement in Canfield court this morning to an amended charge of disorderly conduct.

The charge was amended from a petty theft charge stemming from a September incident where a cab driver accused Pavlik of failing to pay his cab fare.

Pavlik will have to pay $300 to the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office, according to the plea agreement.

At his last court appearance in January, Pavlik suddenly dropped to the ground and appeared to have a seizure.

Pavlik has a pending operating a vehicle while impaired charge, which he pleaded not guilty to in December.

He has a pretrial scheduled for 1p.m. March 27 in Austintown court.
