Theft by deception charged in 2012 case

Boardman police booked a man accused of theft by deception from an incident that occurred in 2012.

John Blazo, 51, of Leighton Avenue in Boardman, was arrested at Boardman court for the warrant he had pending from 2012.

Blazo is accused of charging a woman to re-shingle and re-side her home in September 2012 and then never starting the project.

The woman told police she provided a partial payment of $10,300 on Sept. 5, 2012 to Blazo.

The woman filed a police report on Nov. 8, 2012 because work was still not underway on her home.
