Testimony starts in deadly electricity theft case

YOUNGSTOWN

Testimony has begun in the case of a man accused of killing another man over the theft of electricity.

Jurors in the courtroom of Mahoning County Common Pleas Judge Maureen Sweeney heard arguments today in the case against 22-year-old Michael Paige.

Paige is charged with aggravated murder for the March 1, 2012 death of 31-year-old Munir Blake in an apartment in the 200 block of Lora Avenue on the North Side.

Police say a co-defendant, Jasmine Fletcher, 23, was stealing electricity from Blake and when Blake confronted her Paige shot him.
