Ohio Senate approves 3-day sales-tax holiday bill


COLUMBUS — The Ohio Senate signed off today on legislation that would allow Ohioans to make certain purchases over a three-day period without paying state or local sales taxes.

The sales-tax holiday would begin on the first Friday of August and would cover school supplies, computers and supplies.

SB 243 passed on a vote of 30-2 and heads to the Ohio House for further consideration.
