Youngstown gets 2 new firefighters

YOUNGSTOWN — The fire department swore in two new firefighters today and promoted another firefighter from lieutenant to captain.

Sworn in as firefighters were Patrick Holcomb and Zackary Whinery. Craig Tershel was promoted to captain.

Chief John O’Neill said the two new hires are to replace firefighters who retired, and Tershel is also replacing a captain who retired.
