Boardman police charged four people with operating a vehicle while impaired in separate incidents Saturday and early Sunday.

Chad Bowerstock, 38, of Lisbon was charged Saturday after police say he was speeding. He was stopped at Market Street and Marwood Circle about 10:40 p.m. and had a blood-alcohol level of .154 percent. The legal limit is .08 percent.

He was charged with OVI general, OVI breath and speeding.

About 11 p.m. Sunday, police stopped a Chevrolet Suburban on Glenwood Avenue after the driver flashed his high beams at the officer.

The driver got out of the vehicle and the officer ordered him back in the vehicle. The driver, Michael Lozano, 51, of Youngstown, refused to take a breath test and appeared to be intoxicated, according to police.

He was charged with OVI.

Police stopped the driver of a Ford Escape at 2:40 a.m. Sunday after it appeared the driver was intoxicated. The car was swerving down Tiffany Boulevard and South Avenue. The driver eventually was stopped on Woodfield Court.

Police questioned George Haag, the driver, on the amount of alcohol he consumed that night.

Haag, 34, of Boardman told police he had two beers. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level at .182 percent. He was charged with OVI and marked lanes.

Also Sunday, Rachel Brundage, 42, of Canfield was charged with OVI after her blood-alcohol level was nearly three times over the legal limit.

Police stopped Brundage after she was speeding down Glenwood Avenue about 3 a.m. Once on Boardman-Canfield Road, police say Brundage failed to use a turn signal and then crossed a double yellow line. The driver was stopped after she pulled into the Los Gallos parking lot on Boardman-Canfield Road.

Police noticed she had slurred speech. A blood-alcohol test showed her at .231 percent.

While taking inventory of the vehicle, police found an open bottle of whiskey in the glove box.

Brundage was cited for improper turn, marked lanes and OVI.

She also received minor misdemeanor for open container.
