The STEM College and the Beeghly College of Education are the latest additions to YSU’s new Points of Excellence Web page.

The page, web.ysu.edu/pointsofexcellence, is designed to highlight points of pride for the university, including national and state rankings and notations, academic and program successes, as well as student and faculty accomplishments.

“The purpose of the page is to compile, in one place, items of honor and achievement that clearly reflect YSU’s excellence,” said Ron Cole, public information officer. “It’s a great way to give prospective students and faculty, the news media, others in higher education and the community in general a quick glance at the university’s distinct and accomplished programs and people.”

The STEM College’s undergraduate engineering program and the Beeghly College’s licensure exam scores are the latest additions to the list. The undergraduate engineering program places in the top 25 percent in the world under rankings recently released by U.S. News and World Report.

For the second-consecutive year, graduates of the Beeghly College lead the state of Ohio in achieving 100 percent passing rates on licensure exams. Also added to the list is the Dana School of Music for hosting the North American Conference on Video Game Music, the first conference of its kind in the United States.
