Campbell police investigate assault
CAMPBELL — City police are looking into a report of an assault that involved a 16-year-old girl.
At about 5 p.m. Saturday, the mother of the girl — a 34-year-old Murray Avenue resident — told police that her daughter had been “jumped” while walking on Blackburn Street, near Jackson Street, about 50 minutes earlier.
The girl said a woman began punching her for no reason, and added that she had a video of the incident, which had recently been posted on Facebook.
Photographs were taken of the girl’s face. The incident is still under investigation.
