73-year-old pleads guilty to gross sexual imposition

Donald L. Church, 73, of Chestnut Street in Andover has pleaded guilty to one count of gross sexual imposition for groping a developmentally disabled woman living in the Boyd’s Kinsman Home on state Route 5 in Kinsman.

Church worked at the facility, which is for adults with special needs and developmental disabilities. Prosecutors will seek a prison term, but he could get probation.

Church will be sentenced by Judge Peter Kontos of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court after the Trumbull County Adult Probation Department conducts a presentence investigation. He will be classified a Tier 1 sex offender, requiring him to report his whereabouts to law enforcement every year for 10 years.
