YOUNGSTOWN

The Frack Free America National Coalition will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at First Unitarian Universalist Church, 1105 Elm St. The program will focus on finding common ground concerning man-made earthquakes, fracking-waste injection wells, open fracking waste impoundment pits and what a community Bill of Rights means. A discussion will follow.

Manager punched

YOUNGSTOWN

A police report says a man punched a female store manager in the face at Family Dollar store, 667 Gypsy Lane, about 11:20 a.m. Friday after she confronted him about a compact disc she saw him put in his pocket.

The man said he did not take anything, and when the manager told a cashier to call the police, the man hit her. Two people tried to restrain the man, but he broke away and ran out of the store. Police searched for him with help from Liberty police but could not find him.

St. Rose meeting

GIRARD

St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., will host its annual multi-church vacation Bible school in June, and has set a planning meeting for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Interested adults and teens should attend. For information, call Sister Kathleen at 330-545-1216.
