Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. Ford and Gilbert both began playing their instruments when they joined the band in the fifth grade.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. Ford and Gilbert: My best memory is when I traveled with the marching band to New Orleans to play at the BCS Championship Game at half-time. I also enjoyed going to Cedar Point.

Q. Why is music important to you?

A. Ford: Music is important to me because it allows me to express myself in a way that some kids can’t. I really enjoyed playing Symphony Number 5 by Dmitsi Shastakovich because it is such an amazing song.

Band has been such a great experience for me, and it has helped me to become more confident in myself.

Gilbert: Music is a great way to express yourself. Also, being with my friends

in band has been a lot of fun. I think my most favorite number we have played is Seussical the Musical in the seventh grade.

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. Ford: I plan to attend The Ohio State University, however, I am undecided on my major at this time.

Gilbert: I hope to attend The Ohio State University.
