Burke-Kozic engagement announced

Carissa Burke and Joshua Kozic, both of Boardman, are engaged. The couple and their parents are announcing their engagement.

Dave Burke and Sharon Viets, both of Austintown, are the parents of the future bride. The prospective groom’s parents are Ruth and John Kozic of Lowellville.

The couple are planning a 2:30 p.m. ceremony Aug. 8, 2014, at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown, where a reception will follow. Invitations will be issued.

The bride-elect is attending Youngstown State University. She works as a nurse associate for St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Boardman.

Her fianc earned a degree in law enforcement from Kent State Trumbull Campus. He is a police officer for Humility of Mary Health Partners.
