Mahoning Valley schools are registering students for kindergarten for the 2014-15 school year. Here are dates and details:

Hubbard: 9 to 11:30 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 25-27. Parents/guardians must come to the elementary school with their child to complete a registration packet while the children attend a screening. The child must be age 5 by Sept. 30. Parents/guardians must make copies of the following for the school to keep: child’s birth certificate, immunization record, proof of residency, photo identification and custody or guardianship records, if applicable. Call the school at 330-534-1921, ext. 4001 or 4002, with questions.

Newton Falls: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. March 17-21. It’s not necessary for parents/guardians to bring their children, but these items are required to register: child’s legal birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency, child’s Society Security number, custody papers if applicable.

South Range: March 3-7. Parents of children who will be age 5 on or before Sept. 30 may register over the phone and make an appointment for screening by calling the elementary school office at 330-549-5578 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the designated week. To be registered, students must be residents of the South Range School district.

McDonald: 9 to 11 a.m. March 11, 5 to 7 p.m. March 27 and 9 a.m. to noon, April 12 for district and open enrollment. Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30. To register, parents/guardians must bring the child’s original birth certificate, Social Security card, proof of residence and immunization records.
